Ali’s Eyes
After the press had gone for the day, Ali relaxed and posed for a series of portraits in his training camp quarters on October 27, 1973. He wasn’t showing off nor was he evasive, and there was no showboating as those he could easily impress were gone for the day.
For the story see: https://janfaul.com/blog/ It has been reported that these are the only portraits of Ali where he is not in a boxing ring.

Ali and Angelo in the Corner
Ali was having a sparring match with his sparring partner and in this shot, Angelo Dundee and another trainer were taping up his hands. After the press had gone for the day, Ali relaxed and posed for a series of portraits in his training camp quarters on October 27, 1973. For the story see: https://janfaul.com/blog/. It has been reported that these are the only portraits of Ali where he is not in a boxing ring. Aside from Angelo Dundee, I Was the only white man in the center, and I have been asked on many occasions if I were afraid, and the answer is, No! Not for a moment. Ali Makes a Point
Ali was holding court on a Saturday afternoon with members of the print press, for whom he gave an extended interview. After the press had left, we got down to doing a series of portraits in his living quarters.
Aside from Angelo Dundee I was the only white man in the center and I have to say it was a very comforting experience to be around Ali and his crew. In spite of his stature in the ring, in private one could see the guys around him held his in the utmost respect.
